Jack is 47 weeks this week! Five more photo’s to go before it is Jack’s first birthday! This week dad took Jack on a 5k run pretty much every day and that made Jack much better to be around. He doesn’t just pick on mom, sometimes as I’m walking by he bites my ankles too. Mom has also been taking Jack on longer walks. Mom wants to buy Jack a backpack because he’s always trying to carry things on his walk- water bottles, pine cones, pieces of garbage. Me, when I go on walks I walk perfect with mom. Ok, sometimes I mush in circles because I’m on a leash but mostly I’m good.
Here is Jack’s 47 week old photo:
Here is the runner up:
And for those of you who think all our photos are perfect, this is what most of them look like:

Sometimes a quick and easy recipe is needed and we wanted to share a favourite of ours! You already know that mom gives us cheese to stay still for Jack’s weekly photo project and that’s because we love cheese so much. All dogs love cheese!
Here is what you need:
All mom does is put some kibble in our Kongs, adds a small piece of cheese, more kibble, more cheese, and more kibble until our Kong is full. Then she puts it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. (We use brick cheese so if you use sliced cheese it will probably take less time) Then mom puts our Kongs in the freezer to harden the cheese around the kibble. After 5 minutes it is ready!
Jack thinks so too.
And Jack is actually quiet and gives mom and dad (and me) a break while he enjoys it!

It’s Jack here! I learned a new trick all by myself! I thought everyone would be proud of me but mom and dad only laughed the first time, then took this video, and now I get punished for it. And Dexter, well he gives me this look like I’m going to get in so much trouble. He’s like a second mom, sheesh. If you would like to see my trick check out my video:
Jack is 46 weeks this week. This morning when Jack was waking us all up, dad looked at mom and said “I think Jack’s ears grew again”. Oh dog, when his ears grow that means he is on another growth spurt. How much bigger can he possibly get?
Here is Jack’s 46 week photo and we are both tired dogs:
Here are the two runners up. Jack was so sleepy he couldn’t even sit anymore. Mom says tired dogs are good dogs:
Here we are looking like the guard dogs we aren’t:
