I am a picky eater. I also rarely eat. I think mom’s mentioned it a few times. You’ve seen how she tries to get me to eat in different ways here and here. Well she had to buy me a new bag of my grain-free kibble the other day. I only can eat the Now! Fresh Grain Free brand. It’s the only one that doesn’t give me the runs and hot spots. So when she picked up the bag they reformulated the adult kind. Now there is a large breed adult so she bought that for me. When she opened the bag, mom laughed because the kibble pieces look exactly like the Now! treats she used to buy me. Check out the size:
From left to right- Jack’s Now! brand puppy grain-free kibble, My Now! brand original adult grain-free kibble, My new Now! brand large breed adult grain-free kibble.
Woof! Those are some big kibble pieces!
So this is what mom did to me:
She thinks she is so smart and that I only ate my breakfast because I thought they were treats! She was pretty happy because I haven’t eaten breakfast in months and months, and never that fast! Little does she know that I’m trying to put on a few pounds to keep up with Jack!
This week Jack is 16 weeks old! Wow! We have already taken 9 weeks of photos! Jack’s just getting bigger everywhere now. All his puppy shots are done and he’s ready for the dog park, did you here that mom? His ear is still flopped and he will start losing his baby teeth soon. Jack is now great with the ball- he can catch it in the air, from a bounce, or tossing it right at him. But his favourite hobby is wrestling with me, of course. So here is Jack’s 16 week photo (notice that I smiled for mom this week):
Here are some others that were close runner ups!
Yes, I smiled in ALL of them!

If you’d like to recommend a dog park for Dog Park Saturdays’ post please email email@example.com with ‘Dog Park Saturdays’ in the subject line. The Shaggy Pines Dog Park is a 20 acre private dog park that is completely fenced in. It has hiking trails that are lit and plowed in the winter! The park has water stations and a small dog area for dogs under 30 lbs. But the most important thing about this park is that it has is its own man-made pond!
Yes it’s muddy and yes it’s FUN! I think it is fabulous! There is also a ‘sunset deck’ looking over the pond with lounge chairs and music for the people to enjoy. But don’t worry, if for some reason you don’t want your dog muddy there are two dry areas. But why would you want to ruin the fun?
This dog park also has a coffee and treat bar, a self-serve dog wash, and a doggie store! There are many membership plans to choose from or just pay as you go!
If you’re in the area, go!

After a few hours in the morning of rough housing with Jack, I like to take a nap. But Jack just keeps going.
